The Connecticut Joint Center at Milford Hospital --- dedicated exclusively to hip, knee and shoulder patients --- helps ensure the quality of our patients’ lives. We return our patients back to their lives quickly so they can continue to do the things they love, such as running free of pain with the grandchildren, being able to bend down and pick up a golf ball, sail, or even take a casual stroll by the seashore. More than 2250 people from dozens of towns in the region have already been served. Our special private facility, highly trained and specialized physicians and nursing staff provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from joint reconstruction or replacement in a private, advanced, aesthetically pleasing, but sophisticated environment. Surgery and recovery at the Connecticut Joint Center at Milford Hospital concentrate on rapid functional rehabilitation, emphasizing pain control, physical therapy sessions and medical management, as well as comforting measures. Less invasive surgical techniques with well-proven implants, which preserve more normal function, allow the patient to consider home discharge directly. Hundreds of patient every year come from all sections of Connecticut, from other states such as NY, NJ, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and even as far away as Germany.
